Chinese Dumpling Specialist Chef

Mother’s Dumplings Ltd. (trade name; Mother’s Dumplings) at 421 Spadina Avenue, Toronto Ontario is looking for a Chinese Dumpling Specialist Chef for a salary of; $37.00 per hour for 35.0 hours per week. Qualifications; - Must have a minimum of three year of experience in making Chinese Dumpling dough and preparing variety of Chinese style Dumplings. - Must have three years (or more) experience in creating new recipes of Chinese style Dumplings. - Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as assigned. - Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. - Completion of secondary (high) school is required. - Basic oral English is required. Job Duties • Mix and roll out dough specific recipes and maintain fresh dough inventory based on estimated daily usage. • Roll, knead, cut or shape dough to form variety of Chinese style Dumplings. • Mix variety of dumpling ingredients and put them in cut dough and form a variety of Chinese style Dumplings. • Instruct and oversee the training of cooks in preparation and technique of making variety of Chinese style Dumplings. • Supervise cooks and kitchen staff in their relevant duties of preparation and handling of food • Check food preparation and kitchen to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices in accordance with company health and safety guidelines. • Estimate expected food consumption, maintain an inventory record and discuss with management when re-stocking supplies is required. • Create and prepare new recipes of Chinese style Dumplings for “special seasonal menu items” To apply for this position, please send your resume to; info.mothersdumplings@gmail.com
