Duties: - Plan and organize daily restaurant operations to ensure maximum efficiency. - Develop and analyze budgets to determine costs (food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies) and boost overall profitability. - Monitor revenues and manage financial performance to optimize labour costs. - Modify food preparation methods and menu prices in accordance with the restaurant budget. - Accurately cost products and services, balance cash, and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms. - Recruit, supervise, and train staff to maintain high service standards. - Establish staff work schedules and monitor ongoing performance. - Conduct regular performance reviews. - Determine types of services to be offered and implement effective operational procedures. - Negotiate competitive arrangements and contracts with suppliers for food and other restaurant supplies. - Organize and maintain inventory levels efficiently. - Participate actively in the development and implementation of marketing plans. - Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address customers' complaints or concerns. - Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.
